Sewage Treatment Plants.

sewage treatmentAt Total Drainage Services, one of our areas of expertise and experience is dealing with the treatment of sewage where there is no connection to mains sewers. One of the most important decisions is to choose the most suitable sewage treatment plants for your particular site. The choice of solutions is quite varied as there are many factors to be taken into account, including any potential environmental impact and current legislation. We only use the best products by the leading manufacturers and make sure that the particular installation chosen is the correct choice for the particular site and the conditions at that site.

There are three types of sewage treatment systems- septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and sewage pumps. We are able to install all three types of sewage treatment facilities for commercial, domestic and industrial properties. Before any decisions are made about which system is suitable for a property, we will arrange for a visit to evaluate the property and then give a free quote detailing the exact costs and parts needed to complete the project.

Septic Tank Emptying and Installation.

septic tankA septic tank is a watertight enclosure designed to allow solids in the sewage to settle and decompose via bacterial action over a period of time. Simultaneously, it allows the liquid effluent to separate out and disperse into the soil via a land drain system. We provid septic tank installation and when the tank fills up, we'll will arrange one of our tankers to carry out septic tank emptying for you.

Sewage Treatment Plants.

Sewage Treatment PlantsSewage treatment plants are used where the discharge is close to a water course or poor soil conditions limit the use of a soakaway installation. Within the plant, the sewage is treated to achieve the standards required by the Environment Agency for effluent discharge to a water course. They are designed to be installed below ground with only the manhole lids visible.

Sewage Plant InstallationOur team is experienced in installing sewage treatment plants and we can undertake the maintenance of any system we install. We aim to provide a professional & reliable installation service for each treatment plant and service & maintain each one for its working life.

Soakaway Installation.

SoakawaysCommon soakaways are constructed via long trench lines filled with a clean stone and have a slotted or holed distribution pipe. These trenches can be interconnected (a looped system), a simple long trench, a herring bone layout or a large filled pit.

If your Soakaway installation is carried out correctly it will last a lifetime if the septic tank and pipes are maintained. If the tank isn't emptied on a regular basis the solids will be forced down the soakaway causing blocked drains and contaminating the soil making the soakaway no longer effective.

We Install and maintain all types of soakaways to ensure that they are working effectively to keep them free from blockages and keep them working for a lifetime.

Sewage Pumps

Sewage pumping stations are the most commonly specified solutions for off-mains developments, ahead of sewage treatment plants, such as septic tanks. In some situations, a pumping station will be the only solution needed to access the main sewer and they can be used in conjunction with septic tanks or treatment plants to help remove the sewage.

At Total Drainage, we provide sewage pump installation and sewage pump maintenance to keep your pump in perfect working order, our team travels throughout the UK, working mainly in the areas of Bristol, Bath and Gloucester, along with Birmingham, Leicester and Northampton.
